HI,
I got a problem. My friend birthday is coming and I have some idea on what to get for her. However, my idea seems odd as I think about it.
Oh, by the way, I like her, but i dont thinks she knows.
idea on birthday present:
A Classic Swatch Watch, because I read from her blog that she liked it. well, I can afford it but giving watch got any hidden meaning?
example: watch = clock, then in chinese "give clock" means sending off someone to Heaven....
I need advise...hope you guys help me..

if not...sometimes i think giving a girl a present that she does not use all the time is kinda redundent...necklaces...watch...
how many can she wear?
if u give her something more creative...the more she will take notice of you...maybe give her a pair of tickets to maybe a concert of her fav band...the circus...or amusment park...something that maybe you two can do together...find out what she likes...if she is a sporty person...get her entry to a soccer match or bowling or whatever...u get the idea? -
ya...she wears a watch..... she got an addidas watch now, and she wore it everyday to school. However, she does not wear it, when going to town.
Besides that, she also metion in her blog that she will feel guilty if she asked her father to get that watch for her, as she got her addidas watch from her dad last year. So, should I buy the watch or not? any advisE?
Also, we are normal friends now and the A levels exams are coming so giving her tickets to movies or concert may not be the best things. Also, we are not that Close yet.

hmm...if you not very close to her...put yourself in her shoes...giving her character...if someone gives her a watch that is quite expensive...wat will she think?
another alternative is just to give lohz...it is just a watch...money can earn back de...if she like it...fine...she sure will start noticing you...for good or for bad...but she dun want it...lol...take it back and give me lahz -

haha...i think your big problem is that you are only NORMAL friends...you cannot do things that NORMAL friend don't normally do...think her birthday is a good day for her to take notice of you... -

Well, if someone gave me an expensive present and I dont know that guy. I would think that he is up to no good or he is interested in me. Ha Ha
How to define my relationship with her? Well, we are friends. We get to know each other thru the same CCA. Normally, I would chat with her online if I see her online. Sometimes I stayed up till very late just to wait for her to come online. During the prelims period, I sent her some good luck SMS. I do go out with her, but as a group rather then a date. So, u think this is considered close to her or not?
And most likely I would share the price with my friends. But I doubt they would wanna pay such prices, but I dont mind paying the big part of the money. If i do that, i think my friends would know that I am interested in her. I wanna keep a low profile until the Exams are over. I dont want things to go out of hand and affect her studies.
Making decision is hard.....so any comment? -

gd idea to keep a low profile till after exams. if the watch is too ex for u or too ex to gif a "normal" fren, then gif her a cheaper watch which u tink she may like n make it special, like carving her name at the back or sumthing. tis is just my idea... gd luck

watches with metal on the back can carve. if not u can also make a custom watch-strap if u can find any shop that does that. check wif the watch shops. some of them might haf the service

watch dealer told me SWATCH watches are like disposable watches..i think quite true eh..cheap, also dont have sapphire glass..so scratch easily.

so stressful leh, especially just before A levels
especially if u have totally NEVER shown any indication u like her before
before exams are the time that people lurve to start to get obsessed abt anything other than books.. heehee
