Girls advice pls! - How to make myself look more handsome?

for a guy that is..
i know ppl are born with looks, if nice is nice, not nice is not nice. i consider myself avg but i'm extremely self conscious. what ppl think of me matters the world to me. that's why i consider myself metrosexual to a certain extent.
but somehow i still lack the x-factor and charm. i can talk to girls well but they treat me as a friend rather than to have a serious relationship. ive failed twice already.. now i dont dare to approach my crush whom i'm currently having a great liking. although my friends do not agree she looks pretty, she is attractive to me in my own ways... she's not that kind of stunning beauty.. its her character that attracts me.
i wanna know how to make myself look more handsome. i'm not that ugly but i want to be more outstanding in front of my other guy friends so girls can notice me. as in.. what kind of dressings, hair style etc..
some girls dont like guys with long hair, or wear whatever.. but i dunno. thanks for ur help!

If you want to look for grooming tips then say lar, and I wonder why you still need to mention abt her lack of looks. Trying to make yourself feel better?

To look more handsome, be urself. Don't wear ur hair like david beckham or Kimura Takuya juz becoz some gals like it. Find ur own identity/ look.. which style suits ur head/face better. Style of dressing.. wear watever dat suits ur body shape/hide ur flaws & don't follow trends blindly. Keep urself neat & clean. No 1 likes to get near dirty slobs.
Do bear in mind, its not juz about looks only. Be comfortable in ur own skin, have confidence! -

hmm... wat is can say is keep to ur own character and dun act on any style.
Maybe juz slightly find a suiting hairstyle + shirts~ i'm trying to say that dun act to the extreme where u think it's wat she likes and u do it w/o knowing that it doesn't fits u.
Hmm.... basically, juz be urself and of coz keep urself tidy and clean.
Apart from that... maybe keep ur skin nice~ facial and others.
Coz i realised that some guys actually doesn't look very handsome but their smooth and clear face makes them look so attractive.
Hmm... actually i'm also a average guy and my facial skin isn't very nice~ i frequently have new pimples on my face~ that's a problem for me too~ hehe. But i managed to find a hairstyle and wears that fits me quite well
I wanna be handsome too, but i'm born likdat~ so, thinking to be handsome or beautiful is human's nature, but we dun hav too act on it~ juz be ourself and each of us has our own beauty~ u'll have to slowly find it and present it nicely to ur partner -
If ur bleeding with self confidence, it is enough to attract girls. Futhermore, a good looking guy who acts like chicken shit will not pull much chicks..if any.

Metrosexuals do not ask for grooming tips. They never doubt their charisma nor do they feel that they are unattractive. The kind of self-confidence they carry around is unlike any other.

Juz freaking be yourself...be wat u r..wat if u make urself more handsome and she likes u juz for how u look? u both wont last oso...if she would to like u for your character...i can be sure tat u 2 last longer than "looks".

since you asked for tips, i will not harp on the fact many have told you (have confidence in wadever you have), the following are rough guidelines.
1) keep yourself neat and tidy.
2) smell good
3) clean nails (dirt filled nails are a huge turnoff)
4) slightly gelled hair (too much gel is really... disgusting)
5) wear a smile most of the time (and dun look like an idiot in it.)
6) press your clothes (look civilised and not just-out-of-bed)
7) shave
8 )wear clothes that suit you. (for more tips, you will have to describe your build, skin tone etc)
9) get a nice hair cut. as a rule of thumb, short hair always looks decent, IMO
10) other assessories (they should go with your clothes and personality -

There are plenty of sources where u can seek basic fashion tips like grooming & clothings... eg. askmen.com, men magazine like Newman & FHM ... most of them includes datin tips as well so it's worth readin
Next, it's impt to take into acct ur physical attributes to "Bi duan yang chang" (quoted xu huan liang, judge frm Project superstar)... e.g. white & slightly looser shirt if u hav a diminutive physique (like myself), darker colors if u are on the big side etc etc... it's best to bring along a fren to accompany u when shopping
U can also model aft actors/singers/celebrity which u feel shares certain similarities to urself... in fact, u can jus casually observe on the street & may gt inspirations on how to match clothes...
of course u may not afford those clothes u see in FHM or wore by Shawn Yu or Toey Maigure ... but jus hav the style in mind & can scout ard the stores for the more affordable version..
I know S'pore has quite a limited range of fashion merchadise.. i see wider collections in Bangkok & Hongkong; but still u can find pretty affordable & decent stuff ard S'pore; here are some plc which stock pretty good men clothings:

make yourselve attractive by lavishing her with gifts, call her everything to confide and of course, try to do hand on things like pottery, bowling together.
