Just go with the flow of making a new friend. Don't stress yourself with demands and expectation of what you should have done or not. You may appear awkward to her subconsciously and affect the mood of this date.
P.S: Never date someone new with the intention of getting her as a girlfriend at the back of your mind UNLESS you are pretty certain about your decision and some time is taken to know her. It makes your behaviour, thoughts and feeling very strain and confused.
Just go with the flow first.

what I am trying to say is you are spending too much time wondering why she did this, why she did that. Hence you are making yourself even more confused. Isn't it easier if you continue to go out with her without thinking too much about her actions, and if you are curious why she behaved that way, you can just ask her straight away. There is no use keeping everything inside yourself. Communication is the key of every relationship.
