Don't really bother me as long as both are happy. Parents approved. Cohabitate or not, will still make the earth goes round.Originally posted by ^mR.yellow^86:co-habitation.
how many of you thinks that couple should live together to find out whether they ar captable for marriage or not and how many of you here do not agree with it? and how many of you here are sitting of the fence, thinking that both doesn't matter and won't effect anything as long as the couples are comfortable with it? discuss.

Some say cohabitation will let them understand more about each other and see if they really want to live together for the rest of their lives. Some people co-habitate when they went overseas for work or study. Purpose? To experience cohabitation and/or to cut down rental cost, etc...In HongKong, almost all celebraties or non-celabs are cohabitating. Perhaps, they will give u a better insight.
Some say cohabitation will cause the other partner to lose respect for you, take you for granted, etc. Actually, I am not sure too...these things happen with or without cohabitation. In Singapore, I believe many (mostly parents) are still conservative and therefore, they disapprove cohabitation.
Since you post this question, you will have something to say as well. I think.
Hmm...would you condemn or disapprove your friends or other people if you found out that they cohabitate?
Cheers!

Ok I read it. Ermm... the article seems to be against cohabitation and I believe you are against too. Kym Ng must be very lucky cos she cohabitated with her husband for 10 years then they get married.Originally posted by ^mR.yellow^86:Dunamis, I strongly recommend that you go and check out this site:

Ermm... I am confused as well. It seems to me that as long as I have a marriage certificate, I will be fine and free from all the myths? Living together with or without a marriage cert is not the same? So, the difference between them will be a marriage certificate? Perhaps, cos we didn't say vows or go through the ceremony?
But then, why are divorce cases increasing and lawyers earning bigger bucks? Is it because all those divorced couples cohabitated before and that's why divorce is their consequences? With fornication or without, cohabitate or marriage, break up and divorce are getting more common. This is life today.
Hey, don't say I am for cohabitation. I'm on neutral grounds. Co-habitate or not, I respect their decision as long as the couple is committed to each other. Perhaps, my mindset changed after having stayed in overseas for many years.
When I adjust myself to suit the environment, I find that people around me plus myself, will be happier in this way...
Just my personal opinion.
Cheers!
