I saw the same low hanging moon. It was beautiful, breathtaking... I stopped to watch it for a little while. Great feeling to know that someone actually saw the same moon too.Originally posted by lestersia:Have you took a moment of pause, temporary forgetting all your activities and asked, "why am i born into this world?" or maybe "What is my sole purpose for this lifetime" and then seriously taking some time to give yourself a satisfactory answer?
Is it to only earn money? survive, get married, have kids, live till old age, and die?
Or simply you dont care at all? You just move on as life dictates you, and never ask why are you doing what you are doing now? Like some people say, you exist for the purpose of existing.
Yesterday night, when I saw the full moon, so bright, so roundish, so beautiful in my own eyes, for the first time, this question just popped into my mind. hahaha, (ok i hear some of you laughing) but i was wondering are humans already programmed to behaved in that manner and we call that our purpose in life?
I'll fall ASLEEP? ZZZZZzzzzz....Originally posted by lestersia:Well if you really shut yourself up in your own room in an one hour darkness and ask this question, perhaps you have a new insight to what you can/may do for your future life.

ehhhhh sorry i quote the whole junk but where can i find the book,"life" ???Originally posted by lestersia:abc123_ws quoted:
Maybe you would like to share with me your thoughts on the meaning of life? Are you prepared to sacrifice " to discover the sole purpose of your existence?
My quote:
Have attempted to find out what is the meaning of life, or before this, What is life? There is a book entitled "Life" written by Daisaku Ikeda and it has a profound thought and is one of the books I considered tough to read and understand. However, to "sacrifice" to discover the sole purpose depends on what will eventually happen after the sacrifice, that is I must predict something or expect something after the sacrifice.

And my reply to your question, not all humans are programmed to live in that postulated manner.
And if humans were said to be programmed, then what is this experience of freewill that i, as a human, experience? Perhaps I am not human? For we do not see the freewill in others except in ourselves, makes us Gods.
My quote:
soon, humans will try to be "Gods". Look at what they are doing now, attempts have been made to clone humans. The desire is there, and that will not prevent them from not "programming a human's way of life using cloning methods"
The desires of these scientists are, and what we can also expect:
1. a perfect body physique
2. a mind strongly influnenced to uphold peace
3. tissues that can repair itself in the human body
4. more defences against harmful bacterias
5. improvision on certain organ vulnerability to enable a human to achieve feats never attempted before
I view this as life manipulation, and has its good and bad qualities. this issue can be tackled as a chicken and egg issue, where you see 2 different camps of supporters.
Freewill has its relative ties to the sub concious mind, once uncovered, the desire to change or "program" it for the sake of "goodness" will be too strong to deny. As history has long produced evil leaders with evil purposes (Qin Emperor, Hitler, Pol Pot, Milosvec, Osama), it will be even convincing for the scientist to manipulate mankind of the future.
Then, will we still have the "freewill" to find out our sole purpose in life?
