Is there something wrong with me?

I seem to like only chinese gals due to the fact that I had 2 crushes on my 2 chinese sec sch mates last time. The 1st didnt last long but the 2nd one, I`m still thinking abt her till this very day. Hmm, I didn`t have any crushes on any Malay gals.. (I`m Malay as u can tell from my nick)...why? why?
To me, I just feel attracted by their looks, charm and character. Am I being choosy? Is tat why I`m still single? I went out with a lot of Malay gals b4 but never felt the same way like I did with chinese gals. Then again, there`s also other future factors to consider even if I`m hitched to a chinese gal, like convert to Islam etc...
Sigh..really am confused...

race nor religion is not a barrier (sOmEtImES yEs , but usually de problem comes from de parents)
like me im iNdiAn (hindustani) , my mother only wans me to marry hindustani girls , not even other dialets in Indian like tamil , is not allowed , but who cares , i have had , chinese muslim , malay , chinese girlfriend , but the funny thing is i nv ever had an indian girlfriend , i just dont know why , but i dont like indian girls ... im crazy as u , cos i dont like my own kind of girls ..
anyway dont worry , if u like a girl from a different race just go ahead ...
i have a chinese friend who married a malay girl , but he didnt convert , they just had a civil marriage and a grand wedding dinner at a hotel ...
Is not always u have to convert , and its not always de girl has to convert to (in ur case if u wan to marry a chinese girl)
but to me , at de end of the day , de problems lies from ur parents .

It's not because I discriminate against my own race, but I guess a lot has to do with the fact that I grew up knowing few Malay girls. There were only two Malay guys in my class in Sec 1-2. Heck, I was the only Malay in my class for 4 years from Sec 3 to JC 2.
I guess I also can't seem to reconcile myself with the 'culture' of the Mats and Minahs (you know.... low grades, hip-hop, motorbikes, loud voices and crass behaviour) which seem to be the norm nowadays with the Malay youth of these days. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about....
At the end of the day, just remember this: if you love the girl, just go for it. It doesn't matter if she's white, black, blue or green. If the two of you are meant to be together, then love finds a way. -

All my life been mixing with other races only occasionally with a couple of malay guys and gals. Heck, i'm into chinese songs and movies. -

Heck, a lot of the 'Mats' I know of regard me as a so-called 'traitor' to the Malay community just because I seem to get along with my Chinese friends well. Back in JC my Malay friends once scolded me for hanging around with my classmates (who were all Chinese). They'll ask me, 'Why are you hanging out with the Chinese? Why aren't you hanging out with us? We are your own kind!'
At which I'd retort to them: 'I go for lectures with them. I do my tutorials with them. I take tests with them. I study with them, and I slack with them. They ARE my own kind! Why aren't YOU hanging out with your own kind?!?!?!'
I'm glad to say that shut them up for a while.
Back to the topic... to faizal82, there's nothing wrong with you in wanting to go after a girl who's of a different race than you are. After all, we all have four limbs, two eyes, one nose and one mouth. That makes us all equal. What you're doing is wrong only if you listen to and believe in the intolerant bigots who think that their race is the greatest.
Relationships aren't easy, and it'll be harder still with a relationship that crosses boundaries of race and religion. But as I said, if the two of you are meant to be together, then love finds its way.
And if you do want to know, I'm mixed Indian and Malay. That ought to tell you something. -

do u drive ? do u own a car ? if not , why is it so dat motorbike is low grade , when u dont own a car nor at least a bike ? doesnt that make u , more lower grade? and one more thing , is hip hop also low grade ? -

When I said about Mats having motorbikes and liking hip-hop, I didn't mean that it was low-grade. When I said 'low grades', I was referring to literally poor academic performance (you know, poor grades in school), and not in the metaphorical sense of the word.
But I guess I also made the mistake of lumping it all together with what I said about crass behaviour. My bad.

the older generation of malays in s'pore and m'sia (excluding m'sian civil servants who're all corrupt shiit) are much more othordox muslims and practice what they teach. they walk the talk, take pride in their work (be it holding nasi lemak stalls or flipping ramli burgers etc), provide honest and quality service and i respect them more than some chinese.
unfortunately they fail to nurture their young generation to be wholesome like themselves perhaps due to over-leniency coupled with under-disciplinarian action since most malay families have too many kids and attention is diffused
