Normal Photo shot is bout 2.5k liao & up....some got provide car for 2 days...
wedding grown rent , the night grouwn buy bout 200+.bang door may need at least 200 there...depends how ur buddies bang door for you.
Her parents side how much $?Gold for ur wife?New bed, bedsheet?New room things?all is money.
Go ROM register $26 (i cun remember) or $36...watever it is, is less then $40...
Now is the night reception.> average per table is at 500-700.Market rate of 8 course.wid free flow beer...
I jus went to marriot recently for my cousin marriage. his 1 table is at 1.2k
It depends on which place u wan ur wedding to be held, how many couse & wat they serve..
There are still some other $$ area which i may not know..
But from what i see...if u get bout 500-600 per table & all tables can sit full, u will earn money.

Actually. I do know of someone whose marriage cost Nothing over 60 bucks. Marriage licence.
And that was it.
FYI, the couple is still VERY happily married today.

the couple can actually do away wif the wedding dinner.
a simple ceremony in which the couple exchanges promises wif each other would be juz fine.
the 'other' extra charges r redundant.
wad really counts would be how the two carry on wif their lives after marriage.
besides,wad's the point of an extravagant wedding dinner if the two experience severe strains in their relationship after marriage? -
it's actuali very costly to hold a wedding in a hotel... regardless how high or low class it is....
if you reali want to do so, would suggest that you not order so many tables... cux the more u do the more u might lose in the process ($$ that is)
one word... jux keep it simple... unless the parents(either side) wants a grand thing then u bo bian loh -
Asking about the cost of marriage is like asking about the cost of the car - it very much depends on oneself, how elaborate one wants the wedding to be, etc. I know of cases where weddings cost just a few thousand....and other cases where they were over S$100k.
Mine was 6 years ago and we managed to break even from the angpows collected (fortunately for us, mainly due to some generous relatives). The angpows even managed to pay for our short honeymoon.
To be complete, you'll also have to take in the costs not directly associated with the wedding - (eg. buy house?).
The real cost of a marriage, however, is dealing with spouse and in-laws.
This one is life-long.... oooooh, you'll find this out sooner or later, when the honeymoon/fairytale period ends. -

No weddin dinner, no nothing.
bunch of cheapskates...husband frm the petroleum industry.. at least jus a simple dinner would suffice. -

i mean get $500-$600 per table (the cost)& can sit full..should get back the $$ (counted by table by table) cos if 1 person gv $80...10 people gv $800(ang-baos)... or mayb the ang-baos collected per table(if sit full) bout $700 is more relistic ba..
EDITED: Unless ur friend are all those gv $10-$20 then is you or-bak-kak liao...but then...still got ways to save the situation.. follow lik HK people, at the recep there put a big big whiteboard, write down name & $$ in ang-baos....lolx.. -

Wedding dinner and photo shot is not the most ex things.In my opinion,buying a house is the most torturing thing unless we r going to live in parent's house which is big enought to hold all of us.A 4 rms flat HDB need at least 20k down payment,plus 20k renovation,plus 20k furniture and hi-fi...so around 60k then u can organise a home and married.For holding a wedding dinner,unless u r going to hold it at Ritz or mandarin hotel.Most probably u will earn hongbao money.It just that the whole process for couples is very tiring! Wedding shot,go JB.I think cost only 1.2k sg dollar can settle liao. In marriage,housing is the most headache thing!

For me, having a nice banquet would be a good thing. Its a big day and you have to show your more important relatives some face. Don't let them think of you as a stingy miser. Helps networking in future if you know what I mean.
I went to this budget buffet banquet, both bride and bridegroom's folks don't even dare show face. They feel abit malu if you ask me. -
