i'm 18M. what should i do if a girl, whom i have no romantic feelings to, drops hints that she has taken to me?
i don't want to hurt her. -
You also hint her that you are not interested in her. Like when she gets closer to you, just say we are too close for comfort.

thing is she's really a simple and nice gal. and we known each other for like 5 years. but i've only treated her as a friend.

try to do it in a way so you express that you really treasure your friendship with her, and you both are already too close to start a romantic relationship as shes become like a sister to you. -

Here's what happened, really:
through the IM messages that we exhanged, i could see her (A) feelings.
however a friend (B) came in to the picture to ascertain the feelings she had for me.
but the (A) does not know of this. Neither has she expressed her feelings openly for me. -

Don't give her the hope that you are interested in her. Some girls don't really catch hints well, so you have to find some opportunities to say that you treat her as a friend. You can try this though. When she asks you, ask her to bring along some friends and you bring some friends of your own. Best if all know each other for some years. Just say the more people, the merrier it is. No need to cook up some funny reasons for it. As time goes by, hopefully she will catch this hint. If not, you got to tell her directly, which is hurting.
Don't take any girl as your shield and says she's your girlfriend. You will hurt both parties. -

As for your friend B, is it A tells him/her or he/she got the feeling that A is interested in you? Ask him/her. Don't assume anything. Things go wrong because we assume that things are so, only to find out that it isn't. -
Drop hints back to her... Gradually perhaps, but getting to obvious ones with time... If she's to be hurt, she would be no matter what (since you're not interested in her truly).. It's better to let her know early than late...Originally posted by riririri:Really appreciate the help rendered.
