1. compliment her looks, clothes etc. dun do it too much tho, just enough to make her happy and comfortable
2. eye contact and smile <--- CRUCIAL
3. if u hav a good sense of humour, make full use of it. but dun do ridiculously stupid stuff just to impress her

the original poster sound young. i rem-ed when i was younger. first date is always so nervous.
I think the best bet is to be yourself.... try not go put too much effort as in getting gifts and so on.
That might overdo it. and put pressure on each other... depending on her character , she might feel obligated to buy you something.
first date is basically just to get to know each other. since she agree to go out with you, it means that she already feel that you are ok (unless she is super bored).
Go somewhere neutral like drink coffee or something, don't go to a dark park or anything.... at least not on a first date! -
