Where are the pretty girls?

I was travelling back home on the train around 5.30pm when I noticed something terribly wrong. Where are all the pretty girls? My standard of pretty isn't that high, but at least it must be the it-would-be-nice-if-she-was-my-girlfriend kind of pretty. I wonder what time pretty girls appear in public. Or do pretty girls even work for living? -
