'Get a life'...?

many ppl me know (and some ppl here) have told off others with those 3 words...
me started doing that almost automatically, even though me know me dun have a right to, cause me dun have much of a life either...
me question is, how do ppl get a life?
me tried hanging around with me schoolm8s, but there's a barrier of sorts between me and them (dosen't help me only know english)...
(never posted here before, so feel free 2 flame me if me said anything wrong...)

Get a life - A slang which was a variation of the phrase 'Get hold of your own life' which literally meant, live a life your own and don't try to imitate or do anything stupid because others are doing or told you to do so.

sometimes u need to get out often, find your own friends..i dun hang around with my schoolmates because i have a diffrent wavelength with them..you could come to the forum outing like AA Mushy Gang outing and make new friends and find those same wavelength as you

I'm also the shy and quiet type.. but I stick to one small group of forum frens that I'm comfortable with. I dun mind knowing a few new frens once in a while. -

it takes time to 'get a life'.. making new friends, learning new things, finding new things to be interested in. No instant results or instant friends. Problem with friends than come too easily is that the friendship is often easy come easy go. Need to be patient.
