When a girl replies a short reply, it means you either have no chance or she is busy or something similar. pwnz0r is right on making the call though. So, a continual act of sending and receiving SMS from one party indicates her interest in you even though in short replies.
However, as a gentleman, you should not exploit her vulnerabilities of her recent break up with her boyfriend. Love must be crystal clear, not shrouded in the elements of darkness, conspiracy, exploitation or manipulation.
