Arrange your subjects.. FOCUS on the ones you're more interested in... After you've assured yourself that you've gained adequate confidence and understanding, follow up a bit on the rest of the related subjects... Slowly link them up together...Originally posted by Meilin86:I really need advice as i feel i am really hopeless. I find out that i am not excel in studies. my sec 4 history teacher use to say " when u can't rmb sth try tilting ur head up by 45 degrees.... studies have shown it helps u to recall stuff in ur subconscious..."Originally posted by alexkusu:Try looking up at the ceiling during exams.
Helps for some people.
Spend time wisely, that's what I have to say. Study smart but not hard. It won't help to memorize, unless you are doing history.Originally posted by Meilin86:coming soon....it's on next monday. Time no enough.

Taking degree. I had tried the method as mentioned. I have studied correctly. The main problem is what i faced is during the exam. What i have study went blank in my mind, out of sudden. i am back to old one.It is torturing to sit for 3 hours, staring at the paper, while other are scrible their exam. I feel so scared it happen again. I really make my effort to study before and i am not stress during exam. I can't recall anything. I hold my pen. I couldn't write. Even if i manage to write, i can answer those not so complicate questions. I hand out with a almost empty paper. Really lost.....something wrong with my head? exam handicapped?Originally posted by babymac13:Ru doing a degree?
We are not born to intelligent or with photogenic memory.
What we cant assume what we learn and read from the books will be remembered.
In fact, when i study for one of my module last year, apart from the textbook, i have to read all 20+ given articles for my exam over many times. I didn't understand the very first or second times I read them, however for the next subsequent readings, it begin to shed some light and understand what the articles trying to say. From there, I learn studying is a incremental and we got to be consistent with our work from the day we started school.
Over stressing yourself wont be effective. What you can do, maybe you can arrange got a group study or asking for your peers for assistance on the grey areas in your topics.
