Me too, 3 words to him :"Don't give up".Originally posted by browniebaobao:Reminds me of Chicken Little.
Feeling upset? Natural reaction and emotion so for awhile ok. But he has to be strong and don't give up if he really wants to carry on playing. Nothing wrong with quitting rugby. Does not necessarily makes him a loser in life, but if it becomes a habit to him, quitting whenever he failed in soemthing, then big capital L on the forehead to him. Just advice him that sometimes, people learn best through their experiences. Whatever that does not kill you only makes you stronger.Originally posted by hoolahoop:My friend is having one of his most miserable moments in his life. He's in the school's rugbyteam, but ironically, he doesn't really get to play in matches. That's pretty upsetting. Imagine, being deprived of a chance to play when you're missing lessons and such.
Well, when he finally had a chance to play, he "screwed it up" and dragged the entire team down. His team lost the game as a result and now his coach is resigning. I know he isn't a lousy player at all. He's feeling really upset about this and even plans to quit rugby.
What can I do or say to help or at least comfort him?
Thanks.
Not ask him to watch 'Chicken Little'..??Originally posted by twiggies:tell him to watch 'Remember The Titans' or 'The Longest Yard'![]()
Game is just a game, win or lost . You have study to focus on. There is up and down in life, world arnt over yet. Take a break from the game, take a step backward and think. If he really want to improve further, practice more.Originally posted by hoolahoop:My friend is having one of his most miserable moments in his life.
