I am a graduate degree student in private college (don't ask me where i study)
I am also doing as a Insurance as part time, my full time job is IT executive
i just graduate and work in my company for few month only
i have a intention to become full time insurance agent because i know it can bring wht i want in my future life, as a IT guys i need to get promote maybe more 5 or 10 yrs.
but i do interest in my IT studies since i am graduate in IT field, and i really cannot convince myself to give up in IT field
BUT wht does we work for?? is MONEY right.

And nope... Money can make many things go ROUND in this world, but not EVERYTHING... You'll have to decide for you what really interest you more in life and are you contented with your current life style? -

I also in IT and I dont like it.. i can understand how u feel..sometimes dont have to stick to IT as u can be successful in other area. Follow ur passion just become a broker if u like.

Like what you do, instead of do what you like.
That way - you would be a happier person, wherever you are.
It's easier said than done though, I agree, but you got to persevere and it would be possible..
Personally, I don't believe in being motivated by merely the money. -

Too many flyaway considerations there...
Make life simpler by doing some outcome calculation, level it with what you can afford to lose.
If by not doing one thing, is it going to create 'regrets' in future? If you follow your heart, are you the type of person who sustain decisions?
Know yourself first, before making a decision. Some people simply regret what ever decisions they make, simply because they have a ever-changing 'factor' in their personality type.
If you work for money, yet money is not the push factor, can it then sustain the initial objective? Similary, if you work for interest, is this interest sustainable? Are you up for challenges, or are you looking forward to mundance day-in day-out lifestyle?
I worked as secretary to CEO to fetch a nice pay package, now I work free-lance as counsellor for FREE.. In every decision made, there is opportunity cost, can you afford that? I used to spend on luxury items without looking at the price tags, now I take cost into account before purchase, what say you? -

this is the outcome of singapore english, wht to do, chinese to chinese also converse in english, my Ang Mo friends also feel funny of wht kind of english talking about, y not mandarin.

Most Singaporeans are caught in the rat race, beginning from their school days to chase for the best grades, moving on to society to chase the best jobs and status and then suddenly realize that they did not know what they were looking for.
what u r seeking here is cajole and support from people for find reasons quitting IT. If you are really clear of what u want, you will know where to go without our opinions.
