i am now working, but hoping one day to have myown business or be my own boss, pls someone pls help me out, what should i do first or is it good to do business in spore or malaysia, i find spore is too expensive,is it good to have own business or continue working and earn as normal. what is good? be own boss or working whole life? thnking of retail or food business not sure, or what else pls give me some ideas.

My personal opinion is to do business since you already have the intention to do business. Doing business you can generate more wealth than being a employee. If you have big dreams, then being an entrepreneur will be the right direction.
However, to become a successful businessman is not easy. One needs to have determination and clear goal. It will be better if there is a business mentor who can guide you along and help you to overcome obstacles. You also need to have good products/services for you to market and a good marketing strategies to go into the market.
My suggestion is to explore more and be open to opportunities. Opportunities are everywhere but it depends on where we can see it or not.

interest, i like to cook , but surely can't be a cook, cos of tiring and very long tedious hours. and so thinking of retail business like selling materials, cloth or dressess. what abt that.thinking of applying for courses at Poly on retail management. is it relevant?

any suggestion what kind of business is good now. photocopy business is bad cos every household got photocopy at home, and pls i am still thinking of what kind of business is good here and in malaysia.
i love business that r challenging and that is need alot of work, retail like selling cloths is it good, and do is business administration course covers like doing retail business. is it relevant, i thought retail bus course is more relevant. i am still searching for ideas, before action.

Ya, printing biz is bad now. I knew 1 person who was doing printing biz for 10 years than he decided to close his shop because the biz is a sunset industry. He learnt that he should do sunrise industry than sunset. Then, he ventured into mood management industry. He helps people to reduce stress level since lots of people are getting stressed up easily nowadays. Now, he's driving a jaguar now. Cool right?

I prefer something more innovative. Look at the trend now, think of something related to fashion, beauty, education or maybe those related to casino. I believe there are many business opportuniywith the opening of casino. Many upcoming problems too.....

my advice to you is, find your passion first
work, earn money for capital, it's nv good to start biz via loan, start small, but think big.
singapore is a powerful country to have a base as there are connections to other countries, if you do it well in SG, then words will spread fast..to the rest of the world.
if you do biz in malaysia, if your a singaporean, do you wanna risk your life of getting killed? (no offence to malaysians, but just that it's the facts, too much crimes in malaysia) -

Don't know. Maybe it's just me, but looking at your post, I would suggest one thing.
Go read up a bit on some basics on business first. E.g. Marketing, Business Law, Economics, bla bla bla.
You can start any business if you want to, but can you maintain it?
You have to understand why your business will work and why it will not work. -

Maybe you can start something with small capital first. Online business is well known to give you this kind of option. Try this one. Be an online advertiser for companies to push their products to the market, then you get some advertising revenue.
