Got a friend who is also in the condition as you but she grows out of it over time....by positive thinking. Easier said than done but possible.
If it really affects you badly, then do seek professional help. My advice is not to put something over your eyes cos my friend did that and when something touched her on the shoulder, she freaked out big time (though its only her brother waking her up for breakfast)

Just keep sleeping with lights off, you will get use to it one lah.

dun tink too much when u are sleeping. as per normal lyk hw u feel in the day. nothing will happen. as long as ur conscience is clear,nid not haf to be scared of anything.
hope u can get over ur phobia of sleeping alone. -
Turn on FM radio...Turn on some lights..Get a counter-spirit amulet with strong white magic in it...End of story..u will sleep like a baby

Just try to think of something else when going to bed... what ya gonna do tomorrow, what's it like to be a millionaire, what would be your first decree when you rule the world.... you'll fall asleep in no time....
And if it helps, turn on your TV and put it on sleep mode.... it will scare away any scary images in your head.... except for channel 5 on friday nights.... -
I like to sleep in empty bunks. So peaceful and quiet. But of course it might be a different story if your unit is haunted or something...

When we 1st got into BMT, we were also told ghost stories... Like head of a female of the fan if it's not spinning at night and such...
So I imagined... Seing headless body standing there at the door of my bunk at night... Or a head beside my bed, on my cupboard...?
But HECK... As life goes on it was really TOO TIRING... So I thought if I really happened to see anything like that disturbing my sleep... I'll probably wanna f*ck it off for DISTURBING MY REST...

yeah guys.. i survived last nite. on 933FM and on 1/3 of the lights. i failed 2 attempts at 12 midnite as celing got knock knock sounds. so i went up and find other platoon ppl skipping ropes and doin weight training.
i onli feel aslp at 2am when i was too tired to tink of aniting. great that i fell aslp but 2am... i miss the first parade and woke up at 9.30am. Lucki CSM nt there at first parade.. else 1 more extra 4 me. See? it did affects my army life.
Oh btw the last guy go overseas leave. Will onli b back 3 weeks later. So this 3 weeks i gotta do smthing... -

singapore is almost everywhere 'polluted' with lights. but if you rly want 2 sleep well then wait till ure bloody lethargic and yr eyelids start drooping. by that time u wont give a shit abt anything else and just sleep....
oh yeah... on a side note, sleeping with yr gf doesnt seem that bad an idea =) -
Make urself super tired, then u will fall sleep automatically..haha

You mean you'll be in the bunk alone? you must have watch too much incredible tales, or read too much ghost stories.
personally i have invited spirits up from down there to ask questions, if you bump into any, just treat them with the respect like they treat you (by doing nothing; no reactions needed) and walk off then they will also return you the favour too
if your really scared to bump into any in your bunk, then i suggest that you don't sleep Near the windows, the fan, the ceiling
windows are form of passage way for spirits to pass through, the same goes to ceilings, as for fans, in case you have nightmares associated with those ghost stories that you came upon in your dreams la.
if you really can't sleep:
listen to radio
drink hot milo/ cold milo, which ever will make you sleep better or perhaps a glass of hot milk
go for a shower, when your skin are feeling cool, it's easier to sleep
read a book that will make you sleep (recommended if you dislike reading books)
turning on the lights in your bunk will only make the CSM and SGTs punish you only.. (try not to switch on the lights, while trying to get used to it)
Don't think too much, when you are trying to sleep, think of absolutely Nothing, as your brain should be resting, if there is activity, naturally you will not be able to sleep, logic ma.

when i at home alone bathing.. i turned off the light and bath in the dark. cos i dun believe in ghost.
i also keep purposely imagine ghost coming from my blind spot and turn my head to see really got ghost a not. sometimes, i just add the ghost sound effect myself
in the end, after so many times, there still not ghost coming out.
if you are worried of ghost, might as well worry about more real things in life that could kill or injure you.
it is a pschyological effect. so you must overcome the fear by unconditioning. -

music really helps.. its cool if u dont mind a sibling sleeping with you in the same room.. so can talk till u fall asleep or something.. haha..

I used to have a problem like yours. But after awhile, It overcame with positive thinkings. Look, think about it. Why on earth. Over more than 10 billion people, Why would the ghost specifically pick you and haunt u, no sense right?. As im a christian, whenever i see ghost movies, then i buay ta han. When i sleep, i just put a bible beside me then can liao.
