it depends on whats your definition of gambling..
some pp bet for the thrills..so it makes watching the match more interesting
but i must agree, its pretty addictive..some will get hook into it and lose their sense...well, tell that to the people who agree in the IR..

1stly - Your knowledge about both participating teams. Knowledge is determined by knowing the weakness/strength of the team and individuals of the starting XI. You should also know the latest tabloid about the team, morale of the team and any injuries to any key member of the team
2ndly - Your ability to capitalise on odds in singaporepools. Is it safe to buy 1 x 2 or 1/2 ball? If u see that this team is on the form, strikers have been consistent, there is no breaking news about this team. no key injuries etc.
odds for team. 1x2 - 1.63. 1/2 ball 2.90.
while the opponenet has been losing, key player is injured. a key player demands a higher salary. the morale has to be low in the locker room
You can bet on the 1/2 ball.
If both teams are having the same mental n physical attributes. u should be on the safe bet on 1 x 2. but can always give a try on 1/2 ball but odds are still 1x2 -1.63 1/2ball 2.90. then there is a hard fight.

i dun win much. i dun lose much. why? coz. i bet within my means. only 5% of my monthly income goes to 4d n soccer.
i already said. the so called formula i refering 2 just means how strong a team is. and in international matches are hard 2 predict. i dun bet on internationals. i only bet on EPL. why? coz its more consistent. chelsea n mantud tends to underperform against relegation battlers clubs. arsenal will not perform against bolton. -
Just heard that somebody lost $10,000 betting over the WE and is now trying to borrow money to pay. Another guy said he lost $2000/-

Professional punters will tell you that if you bet more than 10% of your pot, it is already considered a very big bet.
so to put that into equation, before you decide to participate in a bet, make known to yourself how large your pool should be.
Say $100 dollars for the entire WC. So your bets for each match shouldn't be more than $10. -
