I had recently volunteered myself as a subject for a research study.
Main contribution is to stick to a strict tailored diet for a few days and then run to exhaustion on a treatmill. One had to be "fasted" for 12 hours before the run. I had a light breakfast and tried running earlier on and it seems impossible to carry on for long, i just couldn't breath and can't run for long without pausing for 10-15 sec after every 10-15min of run.
I had been swimming hard for the past days and had strained my right calf due to exertion of physical activites last sun.
Could it be that i only had a light breakfast? Or my body is too tired?
With a light breakfast, i already couldn't run. How am i going to run on the actual trial?
Any advise?
are you getting paid for this research study?
if yes, do they still need people?
i wanna take part in this similar type of study to earn extra bucks.
now back to your post.
ask yourself what is the reason initially when you sign up for this study?
is it
1) to earn money
2) to see how healthy you are
3) to help others in reasearch in hopping to find a cure/ new method to prevent certain illness etc..
there maybe other reasons. what's yours?
think of your reason, if you're still sticking with your very first reason as to why you join this reasearch study, then just let them study till the research is over with.
