My so called Brothers.....

Right now, I have three step brothers.... All I hear from my dad is how worthless they are to him... They had barely come to visit and never lend us (my dad, mom and me) a helping hand when we needed them. My dad used to give them alot of money, once $6666 for an engagement, but we never saw a cent from them.
Though this is in the past, they recently showed up out of the blue all being nice and all, maybe its related to the fact that one of them requires my dad's blessing before getting married. Right now, all is nice but I'm not taking any chances.
When the time comes and my dad and mom are old, someone will have to take care of them. I could but it's gonna be hard to do it on my own. I will need my brothers help in this one. I heard once about a law about childrens have to give financial support to aged parents. Anone know wihich statute its in? -

Even if the Parental Maintenance Law is brought in, the application has to be done by the parents. A 3rd party cannot help to apply for maintenance for the parents. So if your parents dun see the need to apply for it, you cannot do anything also.
What I suggest is that take one step at a time. Do your best to support whatever you can. When the time comes, then worry about it... worrying about it now does nothing for you and ur parents. -
