Let me get my question right. first of all, i'm not a sec 2.
I have been taking pure sciences for 1year+ now. Results are pretty average. I wonder if could score better if i change to a combined science. I heard the answer are pretty straight forward there. -

but that was yrs ago liao.. -
pure sciences is instrumental if you plan on taking H2 science (IF you plan to go study in a jc). if you take combine you'll find it hard to take science in jc.

Last time, I took Pure Physics, Pure Chemistry with Pure Lit and Pure Geog.
I don't think you can find this combination today, I could be wrong. But my pure sciences were totally irrelevant to the path I chose.I would have taken a 1:3 ratio, but the school didn't allow it. -

I got A1 for Pure Chem and Pure Geog, and A2 for Pure Physics.
I got C6 for Lit - but that was because I was having a 39-degree fever at the time of the paper. I was clawing my way through the O Levels with a really bad case of the flu. -

like principles of electrical, electronics, machines etc, u need to hv a solid foundation of both physics and maths. -

Diff strokes for diff folks la... some of us Arts people.. can't handle any Engin stuff. -
