Hayfever

  I have Hayfever for more than a month and it just doesn't seems to go away from me.
  
  Symptoms include sneezing, running nose and itchy eyes.
  
  I have all the mentioned symptoms including itchy ear which i think is at my eardrum.
  
  Sometimes i just seems to have recovered, but sometimes all the symptoms would hit me all together suddenly.
  
  I couldn't sleep the whole of last night as i was feeling very uncomfortable, my left eye is slightly swelled up with some discharge, my eye drum and eye and throat were all so itchy...and the funny thing was they were all on the left side .
  
  Anybody had this bad experience before?

  do you have any antihistamines/medication/puffer/inhaler for it?

  I have taken Hayfever relief tablets and Antistin eye drops for more than 2 weeks and i still have these bad experiences.

  No pets...just me living alone

  hows the standard of hygiene in ur place like? dusty? cobwebs, etc? windows left over? any plants?
  
  maybe best way is to live in a vaccum

  Standard of hygiene is good, not dusty, windows opened for air circulations and no plants.

  It's not an emergency so A/E is not suitable.
  
  You should see your GP and if necessary, referral to a specialist to make sure it is indeed hayfever and not something else. If it is, there are stronger drugs both to abort thea cute episodes as well as mast cell stabilizers to prevent future attacks. In some cases, steroids may be indicated. See your GP..

  Dr Mushroom, what's your specialty? Deathcap fungus or Spanish Fly? Anyway, sounds like a bad seasonal allergy to me. Look up a GP or two for diagnosis will ya?

  I deal with cancer...but there's a thought...probably earn more prescribing spanish fly..

  Thanks everyone.
  
  I have seen my GP today and it sounded more to her that i have caught a virus rather than what the pharmacist had concluded that it was Hayfever.
  
  My left ear's wall is red and so is my throat too. She gave me medicines for my ear and eye and hope that helps.
  
  I am lucky that a GP is able to see me today.
