  the same thing happened to me before too...
  lol... but i had the support of alot of my council mates and in the end, we overthrow the president. She was virtually left with no power. lol.

  Yeah, it's political and fake. People will try means to suck up to you, back stab, blah blah. This kind of shit, i believe it's common in the working world, where relationship between clients and working adults come in place.
  
  So it's good that we experienced it now so we know what to do in the future when we meet this kind of stuff.

  i remembered after being voted in, i went for the first unofficial meeting to meet the other councillors, after getting the feeling i got from them, i quit the next day.
  
  Screw council larh. Everything about it is dumb. Serving the school, unnecessarily wastage of your time planning & planning & planning again only to get it screwed up by unforeseen circumstances, and the blame put on you
  
  At the end of the day alot of them are just posers and aren't good leaders, they just got the good posts there by influence
