You can't forget someone ever...you can only choose to stop thinking about her. The only way to do so is to kill off whatever desires you still have left in you for her.

if any girl were to get near u now, they'll probably able to sense that u have an emotional bagage and in turn back away from knowing u.
in order to forget ur ex, u have to keep urself busy. go get a job or start picking up sports or any hobbies that requires u to think or be busy.
time to move on, or else, u'll find no one to like.

Yeap keep yourself busy. That's what I usually do to keep my mind of such things (though I'm not saying that I'm thinking bout my ex or anything).

Firstly, did she hurt you or you hurt her when she left? If it's that she hurt you, it'll be easy to move on. All you need to do is to remember how she hurt you but make sure not to bring it over to the new girl though. If not, you'll start to think that the new girl is hurting you! lol. That will make you become over sensitive and insecure.
Well, all you need to do is to move on. There's billions of people around here. You'll bound to meet someone better. I was like you when I broke up with my ex about 7 years ago. I've always though she's perfect.
But I'm with my current girl for 5 years and I realised that the previous love life was just a dream. Although there's flashbacks, it'll be a reminder to me only.
Maybe to make you feel better, there's many people are of the same aura and personality. Just let time decides for you. There's better things to do than to live in misery. You only have 10 fingers, if each finger is 10 years of life, do you think you can outlive 7 of them? -
