Which is fine if you're dealing with issues that involve absolutely no emotional content. Think about what you do the rest (i.e. most) of the time - if you're a manager, do you think being entirely unemotional is going to work with your staff? Think again. And let's not even go near personal relationships on a daily basis.
Fact of the matter is that human life revolves around and involves so much emotion that if you're going to be foolish enough to try and pretend it doesn't exist, you're going to send everything to a grinding halt. Like it or not, when there's at least one person involved, emotions work their way into the equation and have to be addressed - failing to address them would in fact lead to a wrong decision.
If I had a dollar for every person I've seen screw things up by pretending they had no emotions, I'd be a gazillionaire by now. Unfortunately, payment's only limited to my corporate clients.
