How do you communicate to your spouse? Love matters no more?

  Well, it is interesting to hear fr ppl these days that husband and wife dun really communicate much to each other other than about the daily necessities, bills to pay and the kids. Afterwards, they would either watch their own tv show, play some online games, check their emails, talk to their online friends, answer some sms, talk to their friends, then try to be lovey dovy out of a sudden to initiate sex but gets turn down by one party and feeling frustrated by both parties; everything but to sincerely sit down or slow down to communicate with one another.
  
  Do you agree that this is a typical scenario that's happening in a typical couple's life these days?

  i'm not married... was almost once.. but it didn't pan out...
  
  i would say that it takes effort... lots of it to make things work.... it's harder than days gone by, maybe due to the fact that we are all doing a lot more and a lot faster these days to stop and smell the roses along the way...
  
  that means that we all start diligently doing things we think are important while ignoring things that are really important.. things like "i really love my wife.." or "damn, i am so in love with my husband" are pushed aside...
  
  we have misplaced our priorities... maybe even sold our humanity in that race to become slaves to material things...
  
  i would say that could be the cause of couples not sitting down and communicating... because we've forgotten the real and important things in life.. are not material...
  
  and most of all, we've forgotten this:
  
  love people, use things
  never the other way around...
  
  i've never had the blessing of being married, but i've known love... it is a blessing which requires a lot of effort on both sides to sustain...

  I'm not married, but i believe that in order for any relationship to last, it has got to be a lot of communication, faithfulness, commitment, love and forgiveness.
  
  all these play a part in making the relationship a lasting and strong one.
