recently been quite stressed or pissed wif sec sch life.
when i tell my classmates " i hope o levels can come faster..", they say "siao" or smth like that,
honestly dat is wad i feel.
i dun realli haf gud reputation in sch. my work suxs. teachers dun realli like me. classmates r neutral...have lik at most 5-6 quite close frens. just carn wait to get out of school.
every week at least once i kenna one time detention or haf to stay bac for something....., very irritating. sch doesn't even have the cca i wan (which is badminton). but not like it matter since everyone ROD liao. sometimes i haf appoinments wif frens outside (or inside) and now haf no choice cox sch always says " they dun care about ur outside life..". realli carn w8 to get out.
and of cox, not to end education. i wan to go JC, but i dunno if my grades allow. so it will depend on my o level marks ( im aimin lik below 20 lidat )..., but im reali scared dat sch life in jc will be too much for me. seein how much trouble i haf in sec sch.
1st qn..
any of u in JCs can tell mi, is the attire check in JC strict. for example, hairstyle. if u tell mi to go to a school where they haf very strict hair rules, i think i rather not go there n suffer for 2 yrs. i lik to keep my hair moderately long. (for guys standard lah)...hope got schs not so GL about this kinda stuff..
so i think poly might be better. but then i will be mixin wif those normal stream n those neighbourhood sch pple, which i dun realli wan..., perhaps i might die from a sudden change in environment. also readin alot "poly problems" in AA forum. so abit scared liaox..
aiyoh. why so troublesome one. this education thing suxs lor.
i have 3 more months. anyone can help mi think of ways how to make sch pass faster. and life also (??). it's 1 month to prelim and 2 months to Os... -
better cherish ur sch life la.
once u step into working life, there will be nothing much to look forward. -

and i bombed out for prelim, got about 37 for l1r5.
cheer up.
and i did ok for O's, 16 for l1r5.
not very hard you know.
if u lack the time, then focus on a select 3-4 subjs that u will definitely score.

JCs, I find Tampines JC very slack. I went there for 3 months only. It seems to fit your bill but you got to aim for 15 points or lower for better chances to get in.
What you mean by 'mixin wif those normal stream n those neighbourhood sch pple'? You sound like some 'high class' person who isn't humble and very hao lian in life. Ironically, it's those 'normal stream and those neighbourhood sch ppl' that's the easiest to get along. -

nothing of that sort but i wanna tell u that social skills is really important these days
if u got bad social skills try to improve
cuz if u dun,chances are ur gonna be in the same plight if u move on the the next level
the worst u culd end up in poly is with bad relational skills
but hey no fret cuz if what ur experiencing nw is nt due to ur charecter but the faults of those ppl around u,then ignore em yea -

it's just when i get into discussions wif frens, teachers or anybody about poly n jc. they will always talk about mixin wif normal stream pple in poly.
they will say things like. u pple come here wif a relatively high score and then end up where pple who get so much lower go to. then whats the use of ur psle..or smth lidat. i think i just rephrased some quote. even if they dun say it directly, somehow poly seem less high class then jc??

So was I, but I still chose to go to poly...
Whether high class or low class, when you go to workforce you will have to face the working class. The thing about poly, is that it'll help you to adapt to this some way. Might as well meet them sooner, you'll have to deal with them anyway. -

You not going to go to JC just because they don't allow your long hairstyle there?
Are you sure anot... Anyway, they are not as strict as your sec school on hairstyle and usually you can siam the hair checks unless you really too obvious.
Go Jc people there more pretentious and less sincere than those in Poly I feel. At least thats what I feel when I go to Army.
Good luck to you anyway... I always advise people to go to Poly rather than Jc coz its so not worth it going to Jc anymore... You get more time and space there and entering Uni from there isn't difficult at all either. -

Attire checks in JC is like once a term.. sometimes, even less ... they are really less slack at the rules compared to sec sch.
However, regardless of JC or poly, attitude ppl are everywhere, u can't avoid them ... -
Let me tell you. College is boring. To me they're stricter on the attire than my secondary sch. Teachers are less motivated to teach and you'll feel lost cause there aren't textbooks like secondary schs.
