Change job...? Or try to transfer back to customer service to see if things would work better for you...?Originally posted by melody83:I am 23 years old, and have been in my current company for a year plus. I started out as a customer service and four months ago, i decided to switch to a sales coordinator as i feel that i should have more exposure.
Work went smoothly during the days i was in customer service, i was very happy and i have a three very good colleagues. But good things don't lasts. My team leader was force out of the department by my manager. So left the three of us, my two colleagues and me.. And our team leader slowly drifted apart from us as she was in another department.
After i become sales coordinator, things worsen. They became very wary of me, they dun share secrets with me anymore. For fear that i will tell my manager. Overall, the two of them attitude to me changes. i was very upset. As they were the one who always helped me when i was in customer service, can say that they dote me alot. I was so upset that i write an email to them to tell them how disappointed i was. And from then on till today, for four months we never communicate. The only time we communicated was through email and was work related.
I knew that my manager was practicising favouritism in office, she dotes the two colleagues (which i didn't communicate for four months). And my manager started to become hostile to me coz she knew i was not in good term with the both of them. My manager everyday after i leave office, she will start to dig my table to look at my work, check what i do. And she will copy every of my incoming and outgoing mails and pinpoint of every single grammer, spelling mistake i made. The she will scream at me at the top of voice for the slightest or even not my mistake that i made for all the people in office to hear.
Once, my manager and my other sales colleagues went for overseas trip. She ask me to handle all her things for the week till she returns. I emailed my two colleagues to remind them the things that they need to do. Yet my manager shoot me an email asking me why i was so free to spend all my time typing email to them. I should go over tell them instead and apologize to them. She ask me this also at the end of the email .. "How you able to pull through when i was not around?"
The other time i was doing some data entry work for my customer, and she told me off by saying "You must as well do your customer service job since you already know it. You are wasting company time and money!" I was so angry, she knows very well that sales person are not supposed to claim OT, i did not even claim my time off from the day i become sales coordinator.
Haiz.. i really don't know should i continue to stay on.. Big big boss all side my manager. So is useless to reflect to them. But i loves this job alot..
How can you be an effective sales coordinator if you limit your communication with your team just through emails?Originally posted by melody83:I was so upset that i write an email to them to tell them how disappointed i was. Your manager was just being sarcastic & you're just too tired to recognize it. Remember that you're a sales coordinator. Those data entry work are supposed to be delegated to your team member. Uhm, not that I know for sure what the job scope. But for sure, a menial task like data entry would be a waste if it were to be done by a sales coordinator.Originally posted by melody83:The other time i was doing some data entry work for my customer, and she told me off by saying "You must as well do your customer service job since you already know it. People change. You're still young. Take it as a learning lesson. Earn your team's trust. It takes time, though. Good luck.Originally posted by melody83:Haiz.. i really don't know should i continue to stay on.. Big big boss all side my manager. So is useless to reflect to them. But i loves this job alot..
