i'm assuming you're living in Singapore. and you should be glad that someone is taking note of things that will have a great deal of impact on your (and your family's) life here. at least have the decency to take your head out of the sand, say 'thank you' and stick your head back in.

Gayle may find her way into the alternatives and that can only be good for our country's politics.
For a 'JC gal' she displays a maturity that bellies her coming of age. And politics is something everyone should be involved in, not just politicians. We shouldn't have to succumb to the 'if you want to criticise, join politics' challenge by MM Lee and as a result, develop a subconscious 'fear' of speaking up. -
It is our country, and our right to criticise any policies that we feel are detrimental to both our, and the country's interests. There is no need to join a political party, like the false bravado of Lee Kwan Yew's speech.
They just are not prepared to meet a real opposition party head on, and instead, seek to undermine opposition parties by nitpicking on the opposition's mistakes, while dismissing their own as "honest mistakes". -
