Do you know that when you have no money, you can actually find out who your true friends are, the true love that has always been there for you but maybe you did not notice her because during the time when you have money, you have so many friends and girls throwing themselves at you that you're always too busy for anyone of them?
I always think that people, especially singaporeans should learn to give and share... because it has come to my attention that singaporeans are more and more materialistic nowadays, to them, it's always about me me me, take take take, take all you can, get all you can... I truly wonder if these people have ever achieve true happiness.
Sometimes, I found my friends feeling sad, and I ask them, what can i do to make you happy? A million dollars they say. When you think about it, do you think all millionaires in this world are happy? I guess the likely answer is no. People tend to buy into the beliefs that commercials and capitalists want consumers to believe in, if you are aware of the commercials/marketing, they are trying to sell you the belief that if you own a certain product, you'll be happy, if you buy certain things, you'll be happy, if you have alot of money, you'll have everything and be happy. From my experience, I know that's not always true.
It's abit out of topic here but I truly hope singaporeans can learn to be less materialistic and start to explore the true meaning of life and what true happiness feels like. Money is important, yes, but when you overrated money, you became a slave to it, your whole life became a slave of money.
I personally feels that it has quite alot to do with our environment?
How you are fit into a system... How 'people' try to push you into a box...?
If you're put into a square, either you fit or you don't fit in?
