I salute you for the tolerance and tremendous courage you displayed in staying calm and do nothing despite hearing all the unkind words.......
By not having done anything, you have already done a tremendous lot to protect your gf and she should appreciate your coolness. Getting embroiled in a fight might seem more macho and heroic but that's oni Hollywood make-believe that hardly mirrors reality..........

U shall at least say something for yr gf when she is insulted! I never ask u to pick a fight but rebuking them will be the best choose. Inside LRT what can they do? The most turn into a verbal arguement.
There was once inside a food court where my gf tried to help a plate cleaner clear up her tray and the stupid old woman screamed at my gf for being slow. I talked back to the old woman in a nice tone but she continued to insult my gf.
Then I turned nasty and shouted back at her ' Auntie,u not happy,is it?' and stared at her mercilessly.... She diam diam walked away even i continued to hurled abuse at her without uttering a word of rebuke back at me!
Sometimes,u must learn to stand up against those bully to protect yr love one.... -
With old aunties you can do that lah... but he was dealing with 2 lians and a beng who wouldn't care less to get into a fight because that's what they want. I agree with speaking up for your gf, but the most important thing is to keep her safe if you truly love her. You were right in standing up for your gf. However, in his case, he sized up his opponents and decided that he can't win.
Backing out is the mature and wise decision. Don't lower yourself to their level. -
