Poly or JC?

For me, no need to consider sure take poly...
unless u r really a guai kia who enjoys schooling being tied down by schl rulez,scolded by teachers for no reasons,mp3,handphones all confiscated,all sorts of physical punishment done infront of your friends,being humilated,enjoyed being treated like a caged animal all and all and if i gonna list it all down.... -
nowaday uni start to accept more poly intakes. even though poly is one more year than jc, but direct entry to 2nd year is actually not much of different comparing wif jc.

Depends on your situation.
If you want to improve yourself and do well in order to go to SMU or NUS, then I would suggest you go to a JC.
If you want to go to the technical side or get to the workforce early, then I'd suggest you take up a diploma.
The competition is very intense between JC students. So if you're not doing very well in JC, you might lose your chance to go to a university to do the course of your choice.
Although there are some others who managed to go into the course of their choice in a local university despite their mediocre results, these are either based on some exceptions or they are sort of, fortunate. But one should not depend on their own luck for this matter. Studying hard and SMART is always a must in order to get ahead in life. -
Rather than just decide on the immediate options, you should look further at what your aspiration/ambition is. This should make it easier for you to determine your career/education path.....

It is easier for JC study to upgarde as it is general eductaion. You can do fiance or acc or business mgmt etc. or even engineering.
For poly, coz it a specilaise eductaion, students may not upgrade as it may not be esay to find a similar field higher education. to switch major to alot of people is tough as it may be view as you have wasted your poly year.
Personally i think company would have a better career path for those who are versatile. JC students more versatile not because they are but becoz they have no specialisation. Pros and cons. -

poly go uni= u must have great perserverance becoz every sem must get at least 2 A not easy for some ppl or lack of interest...Constant input
JC= short intenset pain can screw up everything but at A levels must huat all u can in it -
I feel that if you really know what you want to do in your life like Engineering or prehaps IT, then I would advise you to go to Poly because you can specialise straight away and if you even bother to put in the effort, you can make it to Uni easily coz most people don't really bother to study in Poly.
Poly is really easy compared to A lvls. Been there done that, I know.
However, if you got no idea with what you want to do with your life now, I recommend you go to JC because you still got lots of time to think about it.
Even after you finish your JC, you still can spend 2yrs in Army thinking about it too. If you go to Poly, that certain course you take will be probably what you gonna do for the rest of your life and at 16, sometimes you are not too sure yet.
You can study triple science in JC and still go do Accountancy in Uni if you want to.
A level is really not easy, be prepared to spend lots of time studying and feel the stress. But its the fastest, most versatile and most direct route to Uni.
I am a Jc student so take what I say with a Jc pinch of salt.
Anyway, one of the best thing is that Jc people ORD faster... My Poly fren enlisting next week but I Ord in 3wks time... -
Future jobs available are those IR related.
Unless the JCs or poly can give you a good grounding (no pun intended) in the basics of pole dancing, you are better off doing your learning somewhere else. -

some people go to poly and find that they hate their course. as a result, some of them go into despair and give up hope, failing everything.
On the contrary, if you want to get out of that line, you have to work harder to graduate with an excellent GPA in order to apply to a different course in the university.
Choose a course carefully. -
