Always have you watch repair or modify by authorised/ certified dealers. Sometime ago Straits Times reported an imitate-brand watch dealer in Holland Village Shopping Centre. Since the shop has already been openly defamed, I would like to warn thread readers of my regret of venturing there.
I would not name the shop's name, neither can I assure that it is the same shop as featured in Straits Times. It was reported the shop sells numerous imitate (i.e.) 'Guess' watches at high prices. Since many caucasians are living around Holland V, the dealer thought he can con these foreigners for a quickie.
To add, they have no proper watch repairing instruments to have your watch prepared, so DO NOT have them repair your watch, or else you may damage your branded watch. My brand new $400 watch was damaged there when I request for a simple adjustment. I hope you'll find my advice worth more than $400. It certainly would.
Not only does the shop look pathetic, I was even naive enough to trust in their workmanship, which is using home tools to scrap and hammer at your watch. Only caucasians and old folks made up its customers.
Anyone with similar experience? I warn all readers, think thrice before going.
thanks for your warning. but we would go to proper watch shops with a brand name of course.
