Hi guys,
Any of you peeps here studied in Melbourne before? I need in finding out more about college square. I have narrowed down to 2 study apartments basically. I need more advise actually. College square on swanston st looks good, but the sales staff taking ages to reply to my emails. So i might as well try here, maybe some of you guys might have stayed there before or the one in Lygon. I want to know if electricity, water and gas are included in the monthly rentals. And also to find out generally how is it over at these apartments. Cost is a major factor. Unilodge in swanston st also around 300per week, but from what i gather from the website, they stated water, gas and electricity are included. I have emailed to double confirm, but again, still no reply. Any advice?
Also, im not under any local study agency here. That's why i facing a wee bit of trouble settling all these. Also, i plan to arrive 2 days before the orientaion. What do you guys think? Enough time? Would i need to open my own bank account or during the enrolment and orientation the university will recommend us? And also for those who have stayed in college square or unilodge, how is the internet charged? Will i be able to source and set up my own internet in the room with an external ISP?
I've stayed in unilodge sydney. Dun go, its a rip off. Really. Go look for ur own apartments, its cheaper. Also, while internet in Syd is expensive, i heard its pretty cheap in Melbourne, so u can just look arnd.
I'm not too sure abt Melbourne, but i got my bank acc on my own. Go for the ones on the school campus if they have. They've got special plans for students.
Hope that helps.
Hi Othello,
Why do you say its a rip off? Can care to elaborate? Any information will help greatly.
