i am worried that i can't get my salary.

i am working in a project-based company since the beginning of dec and it is my first job since coming out of NS. although i get only 1.4K per month for the job (diploma holders) I am happy with the environment and the jobscope there.
however there is one thing that will making me leave the company - the company have been owing employees on and off.
i should have notice about the financial crisis earlier when i found out that the employees only received their november salary on the 19 of december.
for this month, i was supposed to receive my pay for december on the 7th of this month but it's already 24th of january and i have not been receiving my last month's pay! last week during a meeting the HR manager said that the confirmed funds will be credited into the company's bank account by this tuesday n we will get our last month's salary by then. but just today when i asked the HR people regarding this they told me that the money haven't credited to the coy's bank account so most likely we will be receiving our salary for december on february n that means that january's pay will be delayed no doubt!
last week when i talked with a veterian staff regarding this she told me more things regarding the financial situation of the company:
1) during the past 2 years, the company have been owing employees salary on and off
2) a year ago the company once owes employees salary by 5 months!
3) because of the coy's financial difficuities, those employees that are not promoted in vocation gets a 10% pay cut while those employees getting promotion can't get payrise as well.
4) the company's bank account have only a few cents currently n now waiting for funds.
5) the company have been losing money due to 'failed' projects in the past 2 years.
for me i am currently searching for a new job as this job definitely cannot stay as it will be bankrupt anytime but what i am worried is that i might not be able to get my salary when/if the company closes. i still needs to earn money for living n fees for my further studies in the future.

be sure they are paying your cpf too......you really have to get out fast man...5 months free labour is a wee bit too much of a stretch.....the company should find new investors for cash flow...like that cannot le.....O$P$...

Go MOM and ask for such cases got use ? Then if it's those private companies ? Cos my friend also something similar, just that owe abt.. 2 mths ? So Dec got Oct pay..
But so far, no rumours abt company finance status, so can't really say much.. Can still go MOM if like dis ?? -

No worries there..... Paying employees their salaries is top priority under the law for companies. If the co owes you too long, you cab demand for salary payment through the Ministry of Manpower. But the process is quite a lengthy & troublesome one. But there's no chance of the company avoiding payment of your salary if it is still a live company. So if co kena wound up..... good luck! The process will be even more lengthy and difficult.
