dude though many people had said the same thing, i'll still say it again. Love is really not about money...though urban legend has it that girls love guys with big wallet..its really more than that. I think you are the type that treats her everytime the both of you goes out..thats not right man, i'm also schooling, thats why i'll go dutch with her sometimes. If you think its embarassing to ask her to pay herself, do like what i did, "eh you owe me [amount of money] for [that particular food] ah". Say in a playful mood so she wont sense that embarrassment, but as time passes, she will pay for her share of things too.
And btw..what the hell you change your plan now for? you are just burning abohter 100-200 bucks for pete sake. If you really want to spend more on valentine with her, change your plan next time when you not that strapped of cash. -

but seriously a r/s is not based on money and i hope you don't think that just because it's v day u must spent a bomb... do things within your financial capacity and spent wisely.
Make an effort to make everyday a special say for the two of you... it's really not all about pampering the girl you love ( although I have to admit being attached is not a cheap deal)... but it's sometimes the emotional and psycholgical stabilty and confidence she has with you that will make things truely last the test of time.

i may sound kind of stupid here since i've been spending my valentine's day for the past 2 years studying for my semestral exams at some fastfood outlet and this year wouldn't be of any exception. but.. how the heck do you actually spend $180 on vday? i mean i know things are exceptionally expensive on vday but $180? even eating a normal meal at lawry's wouldn't cost you $180 for 2.
in my opinion since the both of you just got together i feel that its quite important that you give her at least a memorable valentines day. its your first special day together. subsequently no need so special liao i don't really know how girls of your age think nowadays but i feel that it would be kind of embarassing for the girl to go around to talk to her friends when her friends ask her about how her vday was spent. there might be a possibility that she might break with you if you ruin her vday.
buy the girl something she likes. perhaps a bear or roses. and not asking you to spend a bomb on it. and perhaps a simple card will do too.
your friend also ho gai siao man. btw any idea what your friend's plan is? to the extent of asking you to put aside $180 for vday? -

U should not worry too much about money at this age. Concentrate on your studies. If your girl friend is a nice girl, she would not mind how much you have in your bank account right now. Because you both are not earning any money.

Actually i've changed my HP liao.
Costs me $136 i tink..Cuz my old HP is really pathetic..
Speaker spoil , then whats the use of the HP? Repair may cost quite alot, so i suggested to buy a new phone instead, since my line plan has ended. Btw changed my HP from 6230 to 5300 XpressMusic, traded in old HP, so now cost $136 i tink. HP really good! Suits my needs and is affordable...
Btw i tink the money issue might be able to be solved...
Erm guys, do you suggest me working as a part time cashier at shops like NTUC Fairprice? Or any other places?
