Strength must be cultivated.

The motive is not impress anybody.

An eagle can only dive properly after millions of attempts. He is a predator, he need this diving skill as this is the only way he can be efficient in his hunt.

Being a student isn't a huge challenge either. In my last few years at university, I was pulling an easy $52K a year even though I was officially limited to 20 hours of work per week. All it takes is a bit of audacity and imagination. -

I was completing a doctorate in organisational psychology at Melbourne University at the time (2001). The role was advertised as a full-time job, which I was in fact not allowed to apply for, within the conditions of my student visa. Like I said, all it takes is a bit of imagination and audacity - roll the dice and hold your nerve, and you never know what might come out of it. -

ppl study those when in demand, but when there is an oversupply of lawyers and doctors, those who cannot perform or have no connections gets pushed down when demand drops.
add in foreign talents. add in some accidents, or illness, or wadever dat might happen like poor finance management. u get a poor professional, probably with debts and decade long loans too.

some people will say " I `m happy to be with him/her , i dont care whether hes able to support me or not " you can say that only when u are able to support urself without ur parents worrying . If i cant support myself i definitely go for a rich man

Financial stability is really important. Think about it, couples normally quarrel over either money or relationship issues. If you have no financial worries, it's one less problem for the relationship.
Many girls in singapore grow up living a pampered life - protective parents or brothers, no need to do NS. It's only natural that they want to look of a husband who can continue to provide that kind of lifestyle for them. Even if the girl dont come from a rich family, she may have even more reasons to look for a husband who can look after her better than her parents did.
I think it really is a fact of life with the people in singapore these days. People have to understand if you want to have a gf of very high standards - good looks, high education. It's better that you belong to that league too. -
Most of my attached friends (guys) drive cars... and still student... Talk about financial stability...

he doesnt earn very very high pay.
just enough to live comfortably.
but i love him..
and to make u understand this clearer.
I was born very very poor till mum married sum1 richer.
half my life was spents sleeping on floors, eating preserved veggies and fish sauce.
the other half spent in comfort and luxury.
once uve lived in both worlds, u find money so much more mundane.you will actually find it useless..
even though my ex and i arent otgether anymore. i love him for him..
i didnt need his money, my family was so much richer..
his was from a poor family.
but i love him for the moments i spent beside him..
after the break up.
i had a guy..
who was so deeply in love wit me, who offered and tried to give me cars and pradas, condos..
even then i turned him down because i loved my ex.
i couldnt find myself lovin just for money.
so not all women are like that..
