best support i ever had..

i just got back my o lvls result and it was very disappointing.. i tried cutting myself in the toilet a few times already as the only place i could land myself in is ITE (imagine im from the express stream and im gonna go ITE what will others think? )so I intended to enroll to shatec which my passion is cooking..
the sch fees are high and i thought about it for quite sometime but my family and frens keep urging me to pursue my passion for cooking even though the fees are high and my family could just make ends meet yet my dad still wanted me to study in there.. the fees is like 6k per year.. im gonna take 2 jobs to pay for my fees so as to lessen my dad's burden ...
what i am disappointed in is myself, yet my family and frens supported me from the back while im down i really appreciate their support but i just cant forgive myself for getting a lousy COP for O lvls.. im gonna do my best for the next lap as ive just fallen down and tried to pick myself up from this failure im facing right now but its agonising as new year is round the corner , frens and relatives are gonna ask about my results and compare.. and i feel very sorry for my parents as they are gonna be embaressed
so agonising.
sorry about the rant but i just had to say things out to make me feel better else im back cutting myself... just needed a listening ear

but hey... u found urself wad u wan to do next... u want to follow ur dream... which is a great thing to do!

Land in ITE very paiseh or wat?? One of my classmate are in ITE (same as u, in express stream).. Wat's the fuss about?? Does ITE really mean It's The End?? Get a life, ITE only wat..
Go ITE also can make it to poly too ma.. As for cooking, u can learn from ur mother or grandmother ma.. Wa lau weh, like that also frustrated.. Maybe u look at ITE like It's The End, but think carefully, if ur child go ITE, do u abandon ur child??

We tend to takes 'things' SO BIG till we lost the focus. Bear in mind I never used the word problem but 'thing'. Remember when we first used microscope to look at a word drawn using a pencil? We magnified is SO BIG, the only thing we see are dot... Not the word it self, which is the BIG PICTURE.

Working and studying really is a good thing. I come from a poor family and worked many part time during times of study. I glad I am brought up the way I am. I learnt way more than my peers about the 'study of society' and the 'life long education'. -
Shatec is not a bad choice. you are still young. work hard for the first year or two, after which you can be attached to a company and from there, learn the necessary skills and it can be benificial for working life

i feel like if i ever get denied to enroll into shatec i had to go ite.. many people in the outside world already had this mindset that ite students are hooligans pai kias .. smoke drink and do all sort of bad stuff .. i didnt want people to think that about me if i ever go in there

my sergeant in my unit also from ITE.
he's currently taking SP's part-time course and is doing v fine.
there are many successful examples from ITE.

u shld pick urself up and face ur issue courageously.

wait.. is there culinary course in ITE? Cos i rem i saw a poster at MRT promoting ITE skills. There is a guy who is a chief! If u can, try that! will be much cheaper than shatec. Tell u something, which many may not agree.. ITE maybe learning more useful skills then poly. Going into the working society.. hand on experience is more worthy than theorical stuffs, which i believe that is what ITE is aiming to provide the students with.

ITE may have some people like that, so does poly and JC too. Even Uni you also can find some.
All those pai kias or what you wanna categorise them hor, all originated from secondary schools. No secondary school is spared from them. And who say hooligans/pai kias are "bad" seeds? They just express themselves differently and you will find them more friendly then those "cream of the crop", stuck up nose students.
I find pai kias more sociable than those self proclaimed "elites". -
