i went to ITE.. then from there, i proceed to Poly.. then work for few years when got i Dip.. and from there .. went SIM leh.. there are still hope ah.. Dont ever ever give up.. Good Luck

my advise to u is... NOT to retest olvl and i will encourage u to go to ite instead.
in ite, u pick new skills n gain more friendships which is thicken than water as many there suffer same fate as u. n ite no matter what is a cert which allow u to step into industry and it is recognise comparing to olvl or poly drop-out.
whereas it is a waste of time if u were to retest olvl over again, will it ever improve ur grade? moreover, u have to be thick-skin to face those teachers who taught u before. i encountered some repeaters in secondary, those teachers actually use them as models to lecture those not study hard will end up like them. studying the same thing is boring also n the improvement for retest is not very much different. -

self learn and private is very risky..
already with teachers help cannot get good grades, you ownself study can get it meh?
ITE is a safe route kind.. but you must really study well
retake is abit risky but it is better than ITE as in the time you save and such as Poly have a limit to how much ITE students they take in

FYI, poly intake in ite students is higher as ite cert is better comparing to olvl cert.
personally i dun encourage retaining as it is a waste of money n time, going to ite is better route as u pick up a new skill n earn an additional cert. -

DMI, I saw your MSN Nick and didn't want to disturb u further but just a word of advice: Whatever u chose - Be it ITE or retaking of O's, Be sure to put in alot of hard work.
Because If you do well in ITE, you can proceed to NS and den finally obtaining a Diploma and you can even go on further by obtaining a Degree.
If you chose to re-take ur O's, be sure to put in double effort. Becos if u chose ITE, at least u have a NITEC or Higher NITEC qualification to fall back on but if u chose to re-take ur O's, u only have 'O' Level Qualification or PSLE Qualification.
Think about your future and keep out all the other factors like ego and friends because this is your future.

I'm in ITE too~ L1R4 22 marks, Eng E8 because of falling asleep during O lvl 2nd paper -_-" (Too much mapling the night before...argh..)
I retook my O lvl english and mange to 'qualify' for poly yet I don't want to leave ITE!!
