It's so easy to be on the streets, admiring people with expensive and fast cars, like E55 AMG, M5, M3, etc etc, or Evo, Sti etc, and admire those kind of driving that you see on Best Motoring, F1, WRC
But think about it; not everyone is Michael Schumacher, or Petter Solberg, or Keiichi Tsuchiya. It's so easy to pretend and imagine that you are good at driving, and drive like Takumi, but always so hard to think about your own limitations in skill, as well as the limitations of your car.
When I play racing games, I know it's just a game, but when i do badly, it is a form of warning, a form of alarm telling me, hey, your driving is not fantastic, in the real world, if you were to drive like this, you would have been dead many times over.
I am disappointed at my lack of skill. I tell you, there is NO SKILL involved in accelerating from a straight line, especially on the highway or overtaking someone at high speed, everyone can do that, all they need is a more powerful car.
I look at these videos and see these fantastic people do magic with their subaru wrx sti, and when i look at mine, a deep sense of disappointment feel me, and i can also feel the disappointment of the car in me as a driver. i am not a racing driver, nor do i think i can, or will, ever be one. i will never be able to bring out the true potential of my sti, nor will the sti be able to display its true prowess to me, because i, the driver, am inadequate.
i have lost my meaning in life.

If your inability to drive well compared to a few others made you lose your meaning in life. I supposed ALL of us have lost it as well. I for one do not know how to play golf and I find my life meaningless liao...

You put yourself among the likes of those drivers and acknowledged your driving skills are not good enough and may hamper you in real life situation. Have you ever thought about those who are NOT even qualified to drive no matter how much they wanted to? Eg: no hands, no legs, visual impairment, etc, etc...
They too are not happy but they MOVE on. They cannot drive, they use other vehicles: walking stick, wheelchairs, legs, whatever. -
Get a new hobby, something u r actually good at.

okay, so maybe you aren't good enough for your car. so what?
if you can do something about it, then do it. if you can't do anything about it, getting yourself stuck here wouldn't do any good either. -
i think he is sighing because he feels that he is "poor" as compared to those yuppies..
but come on..u are fortunate enough, to be able to come online, and have your computer...there are pp worse off than you, and i am saying even in singapore..
be contented with what you have, because never is enough..

Maybe you should practice some "Fast" skills like improving reaction time of your eyes??
Look at the spinning fan and try to catch the blades in snapshot blinks to get the still images in your head.

Ts, are u a Singaporean? Drifting,do tricks and pushed ur car to the max speed on Singapore Road..U got to be kidding unless u dont mind ur license to be revoked or worst, putting ur life and others on the line.
