How do engineering students meet gals???

Its common knowledge that girls in engineering schools are rare, pretty ones even more rare.......but i see lots of guys ard mi having gorgeous gfs and the funny thing is that they r not gd-looking in any sense.....
if u r an engineer from uni or poly, can u offer advice on how to meet up wif gals
or
how to develop r/c wif gals who r frens but not gfs -

It's what you do with yourself outside school curriculum that matters greatly.
Develop that area; join some clubs and society that your school offers.

1) girls hardly go for looks, as long as u got a promising future, plus noe how to pamper, treat her nice, romantic et etc...u can look f***ed up and they still like u.
2) engineering career got promising future wat...so wats so surprising?
3) just chat with them la. sooner or later one will like u...u dun have to look stunning to fish a girl......it helps if u got a car or something.....if dun have at least must got gift of da gab.....romantic abit, basically treat the girl like ur princess, ur her knight, but dun fall into da trap of treating her like queen and u da slave. like dis also OUT. -

Join clubs of interests. Join activities. Propose outings to your class. Be more thicked-skinned, approach engg gals and talk to them. Greet them, ask them what's their course (for those not in your course), why they choose that course, got join activities, etc, etc.
So many ways for you and mine only but a drop in a sea of ideas. Courage and guts is what you need.

i spent 3 years in poly studying engineering.
last time engineering very few gers.
everyday just go school, go classes, after class go home.
everyday like that for 3 years.
don't even know any gers apart from those from my class.
yah, u should join some clubs or involve in volunteer work. -

1. I'm a third-year mechanical engineering student, so I think I can relate to your problem. Guys outnumber girls by a large margin in my class.
2. Go join some CCAs, do volunteer work, and so on. Heck, go join the sgforums outings if you wish. There are a couple of outings this coming Sunday - check out the Whinehouse and Noiseology subforums.
If you're shy, just bear this in mind: be natural. Don't put up an act. Just be yourself. Don't try to put up an act - it's pretty obvious if you try to flatter a girl too much. Don't appear shy... appear confident and strong.
And also... looks aren't everything. You can see it for yourself - you said that your friends could have pretty girlfriends even though they're not quite good-looking themselves. Why? It's because they have the confidence. So be confident.
Just ask yourself this: what's the worst that could happen? At most the girl may just introduce you to her boyfriend who's standing nearby. Some embarrassment, maybe, but all will be forgotten within five minutes if you don't let the embarrassment get to you.
3. Remember not to let this get in the way of your studies. Meeting girls is nice, but doing well for your studies is even better. -

i met my gf in poly, and we are in the same engineering course....haha...
n nt really u need to be good in ur studies, for example me, i nt any better den my gf in my studies though, but i won over her in other areas...really depends the gal, wad she looks in u -
