What happens when moderators arent what they seem?

A lot of cross discussion going on here but there's just one incident going on that I want to share my views about. As it is already a very heated issue, I read all the posts in the 4 threads that I think the conflict is spreading over. Kitty is angry/pissed over Devil previously commenting on the advice/views she has given in a thread started by Ghim Peng (the one abt girls cutting themselves). Kitty feels that she knows more being certified and questions based on what qualification level is Devil to disagree with her. She is not able to accept someone less qualified than herself and not sharing her views is able to have control over a forum like AA.
It just so happens that another forumite steps forward to accuse Devil of trying to hook up with another person's gf and even try to get her break up with her current bf. This further makes Kitty further question the right of Devil to have control over such a forum.
And this is what I would like to tell Kitty.
A lot of people have already told you what are moderators about in AA or even in sgforums. It is the case with many internet forums online. The person moderating the forum may not be an expert on the field. The moderator mainly maintains the forum(no spamming, no flaming, no duplication of threads,etc).
They are just like any of the regular forumites here except they need to do housekeeping of the forum. And like any other regular forumite, they are able to give their own views on something. Just like any of the other forumites, the advice given by a single moderator (whoever it may be) is most likely any professional advice with any cert to back it up.
It's like you physically meeting people outside, you present your problem to them and hear what they may have to say. Likewise it is not professional advice, just an informal conversation with other people. But instead of physically asking people outside, sometimes the person comes to ask online.
The obligations of the moderators here are not what you seem to preceive or expect them to be. If anyone really wants expert advice, then that's what professionals are for. Please realise this is an internet forum.
Even if what is said about Devil is true, I view it at best a domestic dispute. Leave it to the involved parties to sort it out. Or if you really want to be so pro-active meet them in person and intervene. I understand that is hard in your case, but I don't see how squabbling here helps.
Moreover, Devil is not violating any work practices or anything like that. Morally it may be wrong but like I said, being a moderator here is not about being a certified advisor or counsellor.
To repeat again, this aunt agony is not like any real aunt agony column you see out there. It is only named so to group certain kind of threads together. Imagine one of the posts here being in the same sub-forum as one with topics on sports, military life, food, etc.
Everyone here already had a perception of what a moderator is, it's just that your perception is different from what everyone else has or expects. -

Kitty, I understand your intentions and I sincerely believe you mean well and good at heart. But quite honestly, you are only embarassing yourself with threads and topics like this because you seem to have your own understanding on what this forums is compared to what everybody else knows about this forum. Also, it almost seems more like a personal issue between you and Devil, could you two settle it privately then?

MCsquare, as a moderator, comes in and heckled my posting by trying to be 'cryptic'. I had heckled back in good humour.
