Twisted endearments - My wife calls me a bad nut

Ever since we saw Charlie and the Chocolate factory, my wife and I call each other “bad nut” whenever we are annoyed with each other. It seemed so natural. It is just natural that when you live with someone, you will annoy each other. I annoy her and she annoys me sometimes. Lots of time, actually and I would even say at least twice a day.
The part about calling each other “bad nut” apparently is not. Apparently, husbands and wives do not call each other “bad nuts”. Apparently, that is not natural.
