Uncommon Loneliness

I know this may seem trivial cos there are people here with real problems, but recently I moved out and have been overwhelmed by this feeling on loneliness that I have never really felt before.. dunno what it is.
My apartment now is very bare and empty cos no reno yet, i'm staying win a small room with just a mattress n a tv + laptop, everytime I step out its dark and empty altho I can see the city clearly.. but the huge expanse of lights and tall buildings make me feel even more lonely.
I realise I am more free now than any other time in my life.. but also very alone

i have been living alone for 6 yrs. unless you are very outgoing or have a lot of friends visiting otherwise, living alone sucks!!!

This loneliness will drive you to seek for companionship. That is good. Get to know more people. Join a Church or Temple. Go for classes to learn dancing or pottery or something!
This is a real problem that can lead to depression if you are not careful. -

The invisible and unspoken warmth and support family can provide is often overlooked and taken for granted until it is missing. -

Thanks everyone (esp mhcampy who seems to be always there for me, so much so its creepy) for reading my little rant but i'm sure the situation will improve with time.

From the way how you describe your life, seems to me you are not a sociable person. To get yourself out of this life, you got to make you move and step outside and socialize more.
If you dun do it, how will you know. Join more forums or clubs outing. Dun stay at home most of the time... coz before you know it, you may unknowingly develope the lonely syndrome... hehe
Get a life, go outside more often.
As what the advertisement I saw in the MRT last time

I have never felt alone while I live alone, until one day when I got sick...dunno why it suddenly felt that way for the 1st time in my life (even though I have a bf already then). It's a mystery. -
