sigh..doing my job as something like an RP...weekends get burnt and it's so depressing,boring,have to face people's attitude,wasting my life away with no not much time to rest and it's like being a lifeless person without a soul within..sometimes i just feel what am i on this earth for...i find it hard to take it anymore...i can't give up because i got no choice...

if you're seriously on the verge of killing yourself, please call the SAF hotline.
maybe they will stop operations at your unit and do an investigation to find out why they are ill treating you this way until u having suicidal thoughts.
other than that, i can give u the 'manly' answer.
just shut up, do your duty like every other guy who's doing duty with you and finish your NS like that batches before you. -

what makes your weekend so important that others have to take over a ROSTERED duty?

if your weekends are so productive and so important then PAY someone to take over ALL your weekend duties. -

Go keng and downgrade yourself then. Its not hard to do so at all. I know a few transport supt friends who keng out of Armor spec course easily.
Anyway, doing RP is one of the worst vocation in my opinion. What do you do but stand there under the sun and waste your life away. You are not even doing anything productive. Just standing there waiting for time to pass and your life to be wasted. But then, someone got to do the job and if you don't want to do so, just go keng and downgrade. Its your life, don't let the SAF decide it. -
yah kinda agree. rp vocation is one of the most waste time one. you dont learn or do anything productive cept to the army camps -.-

if weekends burnt then u r not alone..How about doing duties on 2 consecutive days during CNY (CNY burnt), on Christmas, on NY day? Well thats me..
u r not alone, just serve yr 1yr 10 mths or 2 yrs in this fked up sh1thole filled with CMI regulars who cant find a job outside and then fark off, i too share the same troubles with u so dont be too depressed. -

I understand TS cos i was from FDS also. Life really sux. Eventhough chiong sua for 3 mths course, after that very boring. I still rmbr my time, everyweek 1 wk end day will be burnt doing guard duty, no offs for public holidays. On avg stand a day 10hrs looking at blank sky. Somemore everyone in army has the mentality RP are downgrader, all slackers which is not true. For FDS, only PES A and B are assigned. To TS, dun think so much, alot of batches have done it. since you're now assigned as an rp, it means you have at most 18 mths to go not including leave and mcs, just serve and fuck-off, that's saf for you..you could do worse like being an active unit combat engineer or artillery......

Just have to learn to endure and get used to things lor... It's not like we opt to serve our NS anyway..? It's just part of life...
