I dunno about you people, but to me, usually a 'best friend status' doesn't land you any relationship - the accolade often goes to the ones with the 'good friend' status instead.
Somehow, it's when you know somebody too informally as a best friend that a relationship, ironically, seemed difficult to materialise.

ok my take on this: its not impossible, but it might take alot of work and effort, more so if you're the guy.
why do i say so? it's usually the guy who first develops romantic feelings towards the "best gal pal"; normally, once a girl classifies you as a "friend" that's how you'll stay till something drastic/dramatic/miraculous happens.[/b]

hmmm... its is possible... but see how you maintain the r/s.. if best frens to couples breaks up... den i suppose best frens isn't best anymore... there will be a distance no matter wad... unless both really can draw the line...

what happens when the feelings between the guy and girl (they are best friends) are mutual and the girl actually dated the guy's best friend in the past... the guy is holding back because they're afraid the whole scenario is gonna get really awkward if the 3 of them hang out if they are together now...

for some girls, once you became their best friend, somehow u remains there. it's some psychological barrier. -
