im new to this forum. know tis forum thru my sister. but there is some problem im facing.
currently, im studying in poly. there is lots of project going on now. but there is just one of the members keep on don co-operate with us. he always say why so hurry? but i really cannot stand his attitude. he is also very irresponsible in some areas. i think he is insane too! he will talk to himself and sometimes laugh to himself. mi and him know each other when we were primary sch. so we are both quite close. so i donno how to confront him. -
report to student services or any of the lecturers asap.

but my advice is... maybe ask someone else talk to him or either is you write through msn lor... not so nice to talk face to face.... cos that person might be abit siao...

Recall the recent massacre at VT? If you realise that your friend is having problems, talk to him. Don't leave friends to fend for themselves when they have problems likely linked to mental health. I am not saying he will start a trigger happy spree in schoo as possibilities are very very low with our strict gun laws. But he could be making a lot of inconvenience to other people as well in time to come. Have a talk, meet him outside for a meal or invite him to group outings and never leave him alone. Does he sit on the table during lunch-break alone but have 2 Drinks on the table , and act like he has an invisible friend ?

If you are concerned enough, you should chat with his parents. They probably knows more about his mental conditions.
If they are unaware of his behaviour, you did the right thing by highlighting it to his parents so they can do early intervention.
However, if his parents get defensive and insist there is nothing wrong with him, relax, tell yourself you have already done your part. -
I will never bother to talk to his parents. Wat if he knows, and turns agressive. Just persume you never had this member lah.

dun use the word confront.......have a talk with him, he may be having some problems of some sort, u never know till u find the time to know, gd luck

As for his attitude, it could just be a case of him being the sort who adopts a very laid-back attitude by nature. I'm sure no one likes working with overzealous people as much as over laid-back ones, but that doesn't render him crazy? -
What did the rest of your project team members have to say about this guy? Can all of you continue with the project if this guy is not being co-operative?
