Hi everyone,
Jus feel very fustrated and lost these few days and lfelling very vexed about life. Hope tat all bros and sis can help.
I'm just resigned from my job. It has been an unpleasant experience and sort of wasted my 2 yrs. Now everything has to start fr scratch again. I'm faced with a dilema - to find a new job to earn a living or to find something tat i hav interest in n apply for the job.
The problem is tat I'm not very sure what my interests are n i dun really to waste my another 2 yrs of life doing something tat i dun really hav interest on..
Hope can I proceed on to find out what my interests are or should i just take any jobs first n hope to find my interests along the way??? -

Well, that's the difficult part. I'm not very sure of what I want to do. I thought of goin to the financial sector - investing but I'm not very sure whether I'm makin the right choice as in tat is what i actually wan to do..

Be practical man. People will tell you that if you find a job that you love doing, you'll never have to work....... It's all bullshit bozzz! When your hobby becomes a job, fun goes out of the window! Your only concern is just getting the work done, enjoyment has no place at all! Do something you want and which gives you satisfaction in completing well... it's more likely you'll stay with the job longer.........

the last time iw as in this situation
i took a part time job earned peanuts
and at least just minimally 'fed' myself while considering the situation ba
at least u can take ur time to think abt it..
and not starve -
go find a job that u can excel in, take pride in... marketing, sales, finance....
i personally dun place much importance on job satisfaction...
more important to me is my colleagues...
if they are those that u can work with and won't backstab u,
then i will think that this would be a good job...
even if u can find your dream job, but your boss s nasty to u,
your colleagues ostracize u, lots of office politics,
then i think your dream job also become your worse nightmare.... -
ya it's true that jobs that interest us are hard to find or do not meet our expectations in some ways. Those are v rare... so i would actualli find a job which is rather free and easy so i can tink of wat i want next.. right now my job is too hectic already.. i got barely enough time to rest let alone tink of wat to do next..

Well, it's jus tat i'm in my late twenties n i'm kind of behind of my fellow peers. By now they would have say about one or two yrs of exp already in their niche area and commanding a higher pay... I jus hoped to catch up w them asap.

Some things canot be rush i guess...
U have seen you ur friends who are successful or looks good in financial line but it oso have their downturns.. happens that now the economy is good la.. so make sure it's reallie ur interest lor.. for myself too.. crossed mid twenties mah.. but as long as before 30 i tink we are still young in the working society ba.. -

obviously a 1st class wins over a merit anytime of the day...
starting afresh in a new industry means that u have no experience and hence, u will start from the bottom...
seriously, is your aim to find a job that satisfies you or are u trying to find a job that allows you to match the salary of your peers?? -
This actually happens to me, kena backstab by my colleagues esp my so called mentor. As i din really like the job except the pay, I quit the job.. wow.. i got helpful colleagues but the job nature sucks.. everytime kena scolded by clients and the work load is terrible.. so is that an ideal job or wat?

i think everyone more or less encounter such problem in their workin life.
me too, stucked. i dun noe wad i wan or need in life for satisfaction. sometimes i enjoy simplicity but at times i think im useless.
vinny, actually u shdnt have quit until u've found another job. its not easy to look for job esp one tat suits u.
ever think of upgrading urself by taking some courses? might be good for ur future prospect. -
aiyah... if the money is good... then lun lor....
if money bad and work bad.. then siam lor...
if money good and work good, then stay lor...
if money bad but work good.... that one must see personal preference liao....
anyway all i can say is... your life is your own....
to each his own... my way of dealing with job satisfaction differs from yours...
go take a vacation, relax... think about want u really want....

If you're not in a tight need for cash, find a job which is not too taxing on you so that you'll have time to discover your interest along the way....
If $ is no concern to you at all now and not likely in the near future... Go do some thinking and activities which would find you discover your interest... -
