Nope. Just relax. They'll squirt warm water into ur ear using a syringe-like thing that creates a strong pressure, to wash the wax out. I'll do it at private clinic immediately. Prolong causes damage to fibres in ear drum, causing hearing loss... My doc said previously better to remove blockage within 2-3 days. What's the use for cotton bud anyway since it's not a good choice for digging ear?

go to watsons, take a look at their package for cotton buds. it even stated is impt that cotton buds is not for digging ears. -

in my left ear, there is uncomfortable thing.. like something stuck inside..
i can hear properly, juz got something inside
when i use cotton buds nothing comes out.. like got no wax, but theres uncomfortableness.. its also affecting my left jaw.. like something pressing on it..
anybody knows wat it is?
btw, its been there for about 2 weeks already -

There's a process called syringing...the doc. will fill an entire syringe with saline. Since u've been dripping olive oil into your ear for the past couple of days, it should be an easy process. What the doc. will do is to pull your ear backwards, and squirt in the saline. Gradually the ear wax will come out. Its damn comforting when the entire piece comes out, it will take the shape of your ear canal. But for a few hours after that, you might feel abit imbalanced as your inner ear's liquid to help maintain your balance dunnoe what its called is disrupted by the syringing process. Usually the doctor will give you a day's MC, so if you're studying or working, shiok lah!

As many others have pointed out already, syringing is the best way to get rid of ear wax that is blocking too much of your ear hole... But only let the doctors do it...
After the syringing process, i bet you can even hear a piece of paper falling to the ground... hahahaha really it's damn clear lor -
got 1 time i nvr clear ear wax for a year lidat. 1 day decided to go clear.
when i stick the metal thing inside, there was something hard totally blocking my ear hole.
i dug for quite long,
den this huge mass of BLACK, hardened ear wax came out. (around 1cm)
no nid go polyclinic lah, just dig urself with the metal thingy.
