This girl likes to give false hopes. Some girls are like this. Ladies, if you don't like a guy, don't treat him like a plaything, toying a guy's feelings like that. I know most ladies don't do this but some do.

Common, she is just playing with you. I had 2 very great example. One lasted for a year, at that time, she only acknowledge me as her god brother. The best god-brother among all and she will only acknowledge me nothing more then that. She treat me so good to the extend that all guys will definitely thinks that she will give a chance to start a relationship with her. In the end, everything just flunk. Then I got another friend of mine, we were happy and I made clear that I really like her. In the end, she told me off and say that we can only be friends, nothing more then that and she even ask if I took another girl as her REPLACEMENT.

Well, i think it is really up to you.....
if you can accept the fact that she is not interested in having a BGR and having a firm decision that "we can only be friends", then i think getting together as friends is okay.
But if you can't then, perhaps it is better for you to take some time off to forget about the good times. It will not be comfortable/easy but then it is the right thing to do? Meanwhile, try to explain to her that you need some time off. After there cooling period, still can be friend.
You will definitely love again. Sometime, it is through pain that we learn to even love more and better.
